Express vs Structured
Topolog has two AI-assisted ways to start a plan (you can also build one by hand). Both arrive at the same dependency graph and the same scheduler; they differ only in the path.
Express
Type a goal, hit build. About five minutes later you have a complete multi-level dependency graph: milestones, tasks, and a completion spectrum.
- → Best for one-off goals and quick starts
- → 50 credits per plan, flat
- → One pass, no questions; review and edit afterwards
Structured
AI breaks your goal into top-level milestones. Each time you decompose a milestone into its child nodes (up to seven), it asks a few questions to get them right. Sign off level by level, drilling down on demand.
- → Best for complex, long-running goals you want to shape
- → 50 credits per plan, flat (same as Express)
- → A few questions at every milestone breakdown
Switching between them
Promote any Express task into a milestone and decompose it further, with the same guided questions Structured uses. It is one dependency-graph model, so you can move between the two paths freely.
